Magical Pregnancy Announcement Session in Big Sur

Documenting pregnancy is simply one of my favorite things. All of the good witch magic was conjured to celebrate and announce the precious soul on the way. There truly was magic in the air as she twirled around the room smudging sage and evoking all of the good juju for her growing bump. The room felt nothing short of ceremonious during this session.

These were taken during our recent Wandering Artists Retreat to Big Sur we renting this quaint little cabin tucked in the woods. Holly is a fellow creative photographer, check out her incredible work @capturedmoonphotography, you’ll be blown away! The moment we walked in, we knew it was the perfect space to create an intimate and ethereal session for her. Completely by chance the kimonos brought along paired perfectly with the beautiful tones and overall vibe in our shooting space. The richness of the red velvet robe and the greens and browns in the room complimented one another perfectly.

As always I love the vibe of my images to match the energy of my subject and these couldn’t match Holly more. She has the heart of a true creative and is full of depth and celebration for life. Her openness to celebrate her budding bump was truly sacred. I felt completely honored to create these images for her.

The finished gallery is exactly what I’d hoped to accomplish. I set out to create unique and purposeful art for a fellow artist, and I hope these images bring her back to this time and place and put a smile on her face.
