Waterfall Maternity Session

Each time I photograph a maternity session, I am amazed by the sheer power and beauty of the female form. It’s a time to lean in and honor what a woman’s body was designed to do. Nicoletta was so in tuned with how to hold her body and how to move for each of these gorgeous shots. This is her third time through pregnancy, watching her unravel during this session was such a gift-her beauty and grace are unmated.

This location in Marin is one of my favorite places to shoot during the winter months while the vernal waterfall is flowing. Each of these images has an ethereal feel which seems appropriate given the enchanted nature of this location. I was waiting for the forest fairies to pop out and grace us with their presence! Playing in the little pockets of light we found was so creatively fulfilling-have I mentioned lately how much I love this job?!
